Improvements to York Street, Taree will start late May, weather permitting.
“This upgrade will improve the road surface and drainage,” said MidCoast Council’s Executive Manager Transport and Engineering, Peter Gesling.
“Works will also include new kerb and guttering.”
The works will take place in three stages, with approximately one third of the York Street closed for each stage.
Work will begin at the intersection of Manning and York Streets and move progressively towards the intersection of York and Pulteney Streets.
For the first stage of works, traffic will need to enter York Street from Pulteney Street.
Work will take approximately six months to complete, weather permitting.
Residents of York Street will be able to access their properties but will not be able to park on the section of street that is undergoing roadworks.
Please contact MidCoast Council at [email protected] if you have any special requirements for access during the works using “York Street Taree Road Improvements” as a reference, or call (02) 7955 7777.
