Local Government Week

NSW Local Government Week 2024 will run from 29 July to 4 August 2024. MidCoast Council will participate with a range of fun and educational community activities, in Taree, Gloucester, Forster and Hawks Nest.

The week aims to help the community better understand what we do beyond roads, rates and rubbish and empower residents to get more benefit from the work we do, the services we provide, and opportunities to have a say on decisions.

More details will be added to this page as they become available.

Drawing competition

If you have a child in years 3 to 6, they could win a prize in our Local Government Week competition.

To enter, they need to draw, sketch or paint their most valued local government service. First prize is a $150 #shopmidcoast gift voucher.

Entries will be judged by Council’s General Manager based on accuracy, originality, creativity and sincerity. Full details are on the entry form.

Entries closed Sunday 25 August.
