Fast track applications

Our fast-track process is for the most common, simple development applications.

If you are planning to apply to build one of our ‘fast-track’ application types, and it is fully compliant with our Local Environment Plan and Development Control Plan then your application can be turned around much quicker than more complex development.

You still need to submit your application through the NSW Planning Portal, but when it gets to us we may be able to prioritise assessment so you get a result faster.

The types of applications that may be considered for fast-tracking, if they are fully compliant, include:

  • Carports
  • Decks, patios and pergolas
  • Garages
  • Rainwater tanks
  • Sheds
  • Swimming pools
  • Single storey homes, including relocated single storey homes.

If you are considering lodging an application for one of these types of development, first see if the development is exempt, complying or local on our website.
