The Forster Neighbourhood Centre Community Hub team members were awarded with the Volunteer Team of the Year award recently.
The ceremony took place on Friday, August 23 in Port Macquarie.
The NSW Volunteer of the Year Awards celebrate the thousands of volunteers who give their time each year throughout the State.
The Forster Neighbourhood Centre Community Hub is staffed by a dedicated team that provide relief packages and other forms of support to those doing it tough.
The Centre provides assistance to people experiencing mental health issues, suicide concerns, homelessness, domestic violence or financial distress.
MidCoast Council’s General Manager, Adrian Panuccio congratulated The Forster Neighbourhood Centre Community Hub on receiving the award.
“They do amazing work for the community and it is great to see them recognised,” he said.
“The entire MidCoast Council thank you for everything you do and congratulate you on the well-deserved award.”
