Motorists are advised that nightworks are scheduled for a section of Commerce Street, Taree on Tuesday 10 December.
MidCoast Council staff will be replacing a water main along the busy thoroughfare, from just south of Spence Street to the Deb Street intersection.
The work will take place from 6pm Tuesday until the early hours of Wednesday morning. This will result in the road being reduced to a single lane of traffic along the affected stretch.
Traffic control will be in place and residents will be able to continue to access their properties throughout the work.
Some construction noise is expected; however, the staff will aim to minimise disruptions as much as possible.
Importantly, there will be no interruptions to water supply in the area.
Local residents have been notified about the work.
