Don’t get stuck with rubbish piling up at your place this Christmas and holiday period and get your bins curb side the night before collection.
The Waste Services team from MidCoast Council would like to remind residents to put their bins out the night before their collection day.
Waste Manager, David Rees, said truck times and schedules can often vary, reiterating the importance of timing.
“We often field complaints from residents that are used to their bins being picked up a certain time. They might put them out at 7.30am expecting collection at 8am but the truck has already been earlier that morning,” he said.
“And unfortunately, in most cases, the trucks are unable to reroute to pick up the missed bins.
“It’s really important to get your bins out the night before especially during the Christmas period because no one wants rubbish piling up for longer than needed.”
