If you want to provide assistance to those in need this Christmas but don’t know how to go about it, MidCoast Council is offering it’s Christmas Giving Tree service once again.
It will be the third year of providing the opportunity which helps connect those who want to make a difference with residents doing it tough this Christmas.
The community is invited to drop off any gifts and non-perishable food items under the tree located at any of our five customer service points at Taree, Forster, Stroud, Gloucester and Tea Gardens.
The items are then distributed to a number of local charities based on the need and the item donated. These mostly include neighbourhood centres, community kitchens and shelters.
It is kindly requested all donations are not wrapped.
