MidCoast Council operates five water supply systems, harvesting in the vicinity of 11 billion of litres per year.
We have a comprehensive testing regime to ensure that water quality meets the required standards.
Every day millions of litres of water are pumped from the water supply system to people’s homes. One third of the water is used outdoors, and the rest is used inside – for washing, cleaning, showering, cooking and flushing the toilet.

We deliver benefits for our community in a way that adds value and builds trust.
We acknowledge the traditional custodians of the land on which we work and live, the Gathang-speaking people and pay our respects to all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people who now reside in the MidCoast Council area. We extend our respect to elders past and present, and to all future cultural-knowledge holders.
