Event sponsorship

Local events connect our vibrant communities and help put us on the map, attracting visitors and building our economy. From art shows and music festivals, to sporting events, food, fashion and everything in between, our events are a celebration of what the MidCoast is all about.

Depending on the scale of your event, three categories of funding are offered in the sponsorship program:

  • Community and Local Events: Up to $1,500
  • Events and Festivals: up to $10,000
  • Regionally Significant: $10,000

Event sponsorship round 1 2025 is now closed, round 2 opens 1 August 2025 for major events and festival funding.

Community & Local Events:
1 Round only - events held between 1 July – 30 June
Applications have now closed.
1 - 31 March (Applications close 4:30pm on 31 March)

Applicants will be notified of outcome late May

Events & Festivals
Round 1 - events held 1 July - 31 December Applications for round 1 have now closed.

1 - 31 March (Applications closed 4:30pm on 31 March)
Applicants will be notified of outcome late May

Round 2 - events held 1 January - 30 June 1 - 31 August (Applications close 4:30pm on 31 August)

Applicants will be notified of outcome late October

Regionally Significant Events Assessed case by case

Organisers of 'Regionally Significant Events' should contact our events team prior to application.
