Case Studies

The Bucketts Way, Tinonee

As a key arterial route connecting communities across the MidCoast, The Bucketts Way continues as a priority for improvement works, with road reconstruction works undertaken at Tinonee during April - September 2019 at a cost of $1.9 million.

With a focus on improving traffic safety, the project included widening and reconstructing the existing road between Manchester Street and Peg Leg Creek to formalise standard 3.25m lanes with 1m shoulders. The scope of the works also included roadside drainage improvements.

As well as a smoother, safer driving surface, this project is part of our value-for-money approach providing a fully reconstructed road pavement that will reduce on-going maintenance over the next 40 years. The video below shows the significant improvements that have been made on this important stretch of The Bucketts Way.
