Diamond Bridge replacement

Diamond Bridge.jpg

The project involves replacing the existing single lane timber structure with a modern, two lane concrete bridge. Road approaches on both sides will be reconstructed to align with the new bridge providing a safer, wider and more seamless travel route.

To mimimise disruption and keep the road operational during the construction period, a temporary bridge and road crossing will act as a bypass while the work is undertaken.

Works to construct the new concrete bridge and associated roadworks, will continue through to August 2020.

This project is funded through the $100Million Road Upgrade program, which aims to improve the roads that connect our communities. Part of our focus with the program is to replace ageing timber bridges across the region, not only for improved safety outcomes but to reduce on-going maintenance costs associated with these structures.
