Beach Street, Harrington - Road rehabilitation

Road rehabilitation works will be undertaken on Beach Street in Harrington, between Pacific Place and Wards Gully Bridge, commencing mid-April 2020 and continuing for 6 weeks, weather-permitting.

The road will be reduced to a single lane while the work is being carried out, between 7am and 5pm weekdays (returning to two-way traffic after hours). Road closures may be required at times, when an alternate detour route will be made available and clearly signposted.

Traffic control and reduced speed limits will remain in place for the duration of the works. Motorists are asked to observe all signage and directions from crews, and to travel with caution in and around the area. Short delays can be expected and should be factored into travel times.

Properties adjacent to the work zone will be impacted during work hours, with restricted access to properties at times. Work crews will liaise directly with affected residents as this occurs to minimise inconvenience.

The scope of works includes stabilising the underlying road pavement, rehabilitating the road surface, and sealing with an asphalt wearing course.

Updated 2 June 2020: The project is practically complete, however crews will return in June to undertake line-marking.
