Gregory Reserve and Pelican Boardwalk
This lakeside reserve is situated just behind the shops of Wharf Street in Forster CBD.
The boardwalk which forms part of the Forster Tuncurry Foreshore Walk is the perfect place to take in a stroll and enjoy the views of the brilliant Wallis Lake. . The boardwalk has plenty of seating offering the perfect place to eat lunch, as well as a pontoon. Serpentine wall and the turtle sculpture also recognises the historical links to our local aboriginal heritage.
Gregory Reserve is the historical site where the original ferries would take passengers and vehicles across the lake before the bridge was built. Parts of this still remain today. To the north of there is pedestrian access under the Forster Tuncurry bridge to John Holland Park and Forster Marina.
