MidCoast Water Services’  would like to remind you that the summer water saving program is now in place. MidCoast residents are urged to help by being mindful of water usage.

The summer water saving program applies throughout daylight saving time to help control the amount of water we use during the warmer months.

Watering during the heat of the day (9am - 4pm) is inefficient as the water evaporates doesn’t get a chance to seep into plants, wasting water and your money.

MidCoast Council’s director of water services Brendan Guiney says  “I encourage the community to take up the challenge and educate themselves on ways to reduce water usage during summer”.

Supporting the summer saving program helps save water supplies, is more effective for your garden and your money.
