Celebrating the women of MCC
Published on 07 March 2019
This International Women’s Day MidCoast Council is celebrating the amazing women who help to drive the organisation with a special video featuring four women from different areas of Council.
There are 381 women employed across MidCoast Council with 30 throughout water services, 28 based at Gloucester, 232 at Forster and 91 in Taree.
The skills and knowledge of these women are invaluable and diverse and continue to help Council grow and improve.
From customer service right through to response operators out in the field, every day female employees are proving that women can do whatever they set their minds to.
MidCoast Council is proud to see a range of positions being held by females – particularly those that may have historically been a male dominated industry.
To highlight the diverse work of women within the organisation, Council has produced a video for their Youtube channel in honour of International Women’s Day, to showcase a snapshot of the different roles women hold.
Balance drives a better working world and MidCoast Council believes that everyone has a part to play in promoting and achieving a balanced workplace now and in to the future.
From the women who have worked in local Government for more than 30 years, to the women just starting out with Council, their passion and drive help to deliver for the community.
