We are inviting the community to have their say on our draft Community Participation Plan which is now on exhibition.

The draft Community Participation Plan will work alongside the MidCoast Community Engagement Strategy(PDF, 1MB), adopted by Council in June 2019, to ensure the community continues to be informed about planning matters and development proposals that affect them, as well as have meaningful and considered opportunities to participate in strategic planning.

The draft plan details when we will engage with the community across the planning functions we perform under the Environmental Planning and Assessment Act 1979.

Planning functions may include plan making, preparation of a planning strategy or making decisions on a proposed development.

The overall aim of the draft Community Participation Plan is to enhance opportunities for the community to participate in planning decisions and guide planning outcomes.

You can view the draft plan by clicking on the document link to the right of this page, or in person at any Council office or library.
