Lovers the world-over celebrate on 14 February, and MidCoast Libraries are sharing the love - it's Library Lovers Day and there are many ways to show us your love!

On Wednesday 14 February, visit any MidCoast Library and go on a blind date with a book. Select a wrapped book pack and discover a new title, author or genre.

"We certainly do feel the love from our many Library lovers across the MidCoast region" says the MidCoast's Library Events Manager, Danielle Donnelly. "Across our 11 libraries, 37,000 of you have already committed to your library relationship by becoming members. You work hard at keeping the relationship alive too, with over 720,000 loans each year".

We would love you to share with us on Instagram and Facebook how you love your libraries using the tag #libraryloversday.

We've received some great love-letters already from authors. They are flooding in on our MidCoast Libraries FaceBook page already - why not send us a love letter yourself? Tell us what you love about your Library!

Library Lovers Day is coordinated by the Australian Library and Information Association (ALIA) and aims to raise the profile of the services which libraries offer. Australia’s public libraries provide quality information services that support lifelong learning, significantly impacting the cultural and information industry.
