MidCoast Council road crews have advised an 11 tonne load limit has been placed on Killabakh Creek Bridge, Yarratt Road near Killabakh, with a full road closure due to take place 23 – 25 May.

Effective immediately, the 11 tonne load limit will require heavy vehicles to detour using Comboyne Road and Shorts Road, or via Cedar Party Road. A reduced speed limit of 20km per hour will apply to general traffic continuing to use the bridge.

Crews will undertake urgent repairs on the bridge, requiring a full road closure from Tuesday 23 May at 9am, through to 4pm on Thursday 25 May. Following this important maintenance, the load limit will be raised to 20 tonnes, however the 20km speed limit will remain in place.

Motorists are asked to plan travel accordingly during the closure period, and to observe all roadwork and detour signage placed in the area.
