Members of the public are most welcome to attend MidCoast Council ordinary meetings which are held once a month.

The meetings follow the Gloucester Shire Council Code of Meeting Practice(PDF, 415KB) as per the Proclamation of the MidCoast Council on 12 May 2016.

Request to speak at a Council meeting

With prior notification and arrangement with the Mayor, a member of the public can address a Council meeting personally, or on behalf of a group of residents, on any issue to be considered by Council. If you want speak at a Council meeting please read the guidelines below before completing the request form.

2017 MidCoast Council Meeting Schedule:

Publish date - 17/11/17

  • Wednesday 22 November - Ordinary Council Meeting - 2pm - Taree Administration Centre
  • Wednesday 29 November - Additional meeting if required - 2pm - Venue TBA
  • Wednesday 13 December - Strategic Committee Meeting - 8.30am - Forster Administration Centre
  • Wednesday 20 December - Ordinary Council Meeting - 2pm - Taree Administration Centre

Development Control Unit Meetings

Development Control Unit (DCU) meetings are an opportunity for people interested in a development to understand the determination process. These meeting are held on a regular basis and as required.

Meeting Documentation

An agenda will be available before each meeting and the minutes of the meeting will be available a few days after each meeting. Listed below are all the minutes and agenda documentation for all MidCoast Council meetings. Click on the '+' to expand the meeting information. You will then find all of the documents available to view and download in pdf format.

You can use the search boxes on the right to find a specific meeting. Use the search phrase or keyword to search for detailed meeting content. This may include specific DA numbers, addresses or applicant names.

For Council meetings prior to the formation of MidCoast Council on 12 May 2016, requests for information can be made via email (please include specific details such as the meeting date and / or agenda item you are researching) or phone. We will then upload the requested meeting documents to the website. In utilising this system, we will ensure that priority is given to meetings which are of public interest.

Development Control Unit meeting. Held at Forster administration building.
DA 407/2017 will not be considered at this meeting as previously advised. The NSW Office of Local Government has advised Council that matters receiving in excess of 20 submissions cannot be determined by the Administrator during the caretaker period. This DA will be scheduled for determination by the newly elected Council.
