Seniors Citizens Associations
Manning Valley Senior Citizens Association
Ormsby House is a Council owned building, run by the Manning Valley Senior Citizens Association. The centre hosts regular activities for seniors including health and wellbeing workshops, art classes, carpet bowls, cards, BBQs, concerts and other social events. Ormsby House is situated on the corner of 24 Commerce Street, on the corner of Albert Street.

Seniors Week is an annual celebration held across the state to celebrate active, healthy, independent seniors who are involved in their community. Council, along with a number of other local community groups and organisations run events for local seniors to get involved in.

Chargepoint stations are a safe and convenient way to charge your motorised wheelchair. Chargepoints are available in both Taree and Wingham and can be used at no cost:
- Council Administration Centre, Pulteney Street
- Manning Valley Libraries
- Manning Aquatic and Leisure Centre
- Manning Valley Visitor Information Centre
- Taree Airport
- Wingham Pool
Road safety for seniors - free 2017 calendar
Back by popular demand, the 2017 edition of the Safer Seniors Calendar is now available. It provides helpful advice for older drivers, passengers and pedestrians all year round, and is funded by the Local Government Road Safety Program. View the online Seniors Calendar here.
